With qualifications in aromatherapy and cosmetic chemistry along with formal perfume training, Kat’s game is super unique. Her vibe? Totally killer and super niche.

Beginning her full-time career in 2013, Kat has some serious experience under her belt. She loves building relationships with her suppliers and goes direct to the grower where she can. Ethical sourcing and sustainability are a no brainer.

What’s your favourite part about what you do?

Working with so many different clients and visions is really fun. The stories that scents tell and the connection to memory fascinates me. I also enjoy getting into the lab with new skin care ingredients.

What do you like to do you your spare time?

I love spending time with my two long haired sausos, often forcing the chubby one to be the little spoon. Hosting dinner parties and photography.

What’s your favourite cocktail?

Oooo, I’ve cut right back on the booze, but I do love a yuzu sipper when I go to Shop Ramen.  

What's on the menu when you invite friends for dinner?
I always cook a new recipe when friends come over for dinner, with varying levels of success. For the last dinner party, I cooked a rolled lasagne dish. It had way too many steps. I got stressed out and I caught a tea towel on fire and burnt the kitchen bench. Desert was a lemon & almond cake which was delicious.
